The Tropic 3-legged Ceramic Plate

The tropics is born out of incompletion, a textured piece that evokes much imagination from the audience. The unexpected imprint of texture created strong contrast, though not much related to the entire piece, managed to capture attention from one who sees it. Often makes people tempted to run their fingers along the darkened texture area to feel how it's like on the actual surface. Layering of glazes of brown and yellow bring us back to be grounded like from the soil we grew up in.

Please note that all ceramic pieces are handmade by myself in Singapore. Some irregularities of form in every piece do not impact its usage. Note that each piece is fired at cone 10 (at least 1260°C) with lead-free glazes making our ceramic ware food-safe, dishwasher- and microwave-friendly.
